Fingerplays:
The fuzzy little caterpillar went up into a tree,
spun his cocoon and then he went to sleep.
While he was sleeping he dreamt that he could fly,
when he woke up (sigh) he was a butterfly.

For toddlers we made a linked-chain caterpillar

I got the idea for this craft from one of my awesome coworkers.  She uses this craft for her Bug Storytime.

For the preschoolers I used an Oriental Trading craft I had laying around.
